Tired of sittin' around!

Just yesterday, someone got tired of sitting around the house and decided to take it upon herself to get up and get busy! I'm still a little miffed about the infatuation with the black remote, but look closely at the photo below...that's what she was going for. :)

I haven't given an update on us for a while, so I thought I would jot a few lines to get everyone caught up. Travis was in San Francisco a couple weekends ago to take his PE (Prof Engineer) exam. Two days, 8-hours each day of straight testing. SSSSICK. I would rather eat worms. So, I took a day off and Mia and I had a girls weekend. On the other hand, he stayed a day longer, met up with a friend and enjoyed a Giants/Cardinals game. Speaking of baseball (for those of you who also enjoy the MLB Extra Innings package)...looks like we'll be able to go to another Cubs game at Wrigley this year! We've only been once before and yes, it was magical (Chicago dogs rule). I'll be headed there for work and I think Travis is going to try to bring Mia along. He's committed for now, but we'll see if he backs out with more thought about traveling alone in the airport with child. Otherwise, my work is out of control crazy busy these days (lots of change coming up), but the good news is that I'm up for sabbatical now. After 5 years, you get 1 month paid so I need to make some plans!

Lastly, for all you who have asked, I've unsuccessfully TRIED and TRIED to add "Comments" to my blog, but for some reason, they don't show up. :( Could be Operator Error and I clearly know that, but it's not as easy as clicking the buttons - something is messed up with the HTML. I'll keep working on it...so sorry!

Starting to Scoot...

There's no teeth to report, not even rolling over. Instead, she'll sit up and play for hours and now is starting to lean forward and inch her way into a semi-crawling position. There's times when she'll end up on her tummy, kick her back legs like she's in a pool, but then get frustrated because she's going nowhere. Travis & I watch in amazement and then we'll turn to each other and give each other a look of fear. It appears that it's only a few short weeks when this little person will be crawling and yes, we are very afraid.
